There were 35,416 hospitals in India in 2013. This includes both Government and private hospitals. There are world-class private hospitals in Delhi, Mumbai , Chennai and Calcutta and good hospitals in all other major tourist areas. In India, almost all the doctors can speak enough English to attend to tourists needs.
